An AI agent is software that can take actions on someone's behalf. The idea is simple: an agent requests the work, a person agrees to do it, and that person gets paid for delivering the agreed result.

Know what "done" means before work begins.
A useful request makes the expected result clear. That might be a report, photographs, a demonstration or confirmation that a task has been completed. Agreeing this at the start gives both sides a shared understanding of the work and how it will be assessed.
If the task changes, the agreement should change with it.
